Andy Webster Memorial 5K Race

A wet and windy evening welcomed the runners for this 2010's Andy Webster Memorial run, held on Monday 5th September, which seemed to make guessing the finish time more difficult than in previous years.

The run is a 'limp wrist' 5km off road race which means that the winner, rather than being first over the line, is the one who is closest to their predicted finish time.

Just under 50 runners took part with Jane Holt the ladies winner, 70 seconds out on her predicted time. Paul Lowe was the men's winner, just 8 seconds out.

For the first time a separate junior race was held over 1 mile. Chloe Lindop was the girl's winner (10 seconds) and Adam Fradley the boy's winner (11 seconds).

Just over £100 was raised for a charity of Glynis' choice from entry fees and the raffle.
