After a years delay due to Coronavirus our Senior Men made their long-awaited debut in Division 1 of the Birmingham & District Cross Country League. The First fixture was held locally at Betley Court Farm over 6 undulating Miles. A Fantastic turnout of 22 U/20, Senior and Masters Men raced and were rewarded with 7th Place in the A teams with a low points score of just 331 and 5th in the B Team category with just 803 points. There was great packing from our runners and First Finisher was James Fradley in 31st closely followed by Elliot Smith in 36th, Sam Crozier in 54th, Jacob Droogmans in 61st, Paul Tatler in 67th, Lewis Nagington in 82nd, Jordan Nixon in 86th, Louis Wakefield in 106th, Ben Brereton in 134th, Craig Taylor in 148th, Thomas Mogg in 155th, Mark Cresswell in 174th, Matt Robinson in 177th, Andrew Brownsword in 181st, Andrew Sproson in 190th, Jon Ranford in 197th, Neil Gerrity in 208th, Chris Nixon in 217th, Mark Cotton in 230th, Martin Bailey in 231st, Pab Maddox in 233rd and Simon Crofts in 236th.
Next fixture is Saturday 4th December at Abington Park, Northampton – another big turnout is needed to build on our successful start.
