It is with deepest regret that we publish some very sad news.
George Davenport, a club member for over 35 years, and one of our Life Members, sadly passed away on Wednesday 13th May.
George was a prominent figure at the club and had many roles, he was an active Committee Member and our Subscriptions Secretary for over 15 years, a Team Manager, a key member of our Grounds Maintenance Team and a Graded Track and Field Official.
George was always willing to support Newcastle (Staffs) Athletic Club and its members however he could and will be sadly missed.
George’s Funeral will be held at Bradwell Crematorium at 11:20 am on Thursday 28th May.
Our thoughts are with his family and close friends at this time.
