Today saw 7 of our middle distance athletes chosen to represent their respective school districts in the Staffordshire Schools Track and Field Championships, held at Northwood Stadium. In the Junior Boys 800m Jacob Droogmans came second in a new PB of 2.11, in the Intermediate Girls 800m Sophie Goodfellow finished 3rd in 2.43 and in the Intermediate Boys 800m James Fradley finished 1st in 1.55. In the Junior Girls 1500m Alex Oakley finished 5th in a new PB of 5.35, and in the Intermediate Girls 1500m we had 3 competitors, In 1st was Becky Twardochleb in 5.04, 3rd was Shannon McCue with another PB of 5.15 and 5th was Grace Ranford in a PB of 5.45.
