Well I’m sitting writing this as the clouds clear but that was not how the races was. A truly damp day was not to spoil Newcastle 10k. A massive ‘thank you’ to all the marshals, officials and supporters who were out in the awful weather far longer than us runners. Also, a few more ‘thank you’: first to our main race sponsor KMF Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing and our water sponsor JSW Insurance, Newcastles secretary Kat Saunders and Chairman Billy Meakin who not only organised the race but also had time to run it too – impressive, JC Solutions for the fast results and great commentary at the finish line and last but by no means least all the helpers who cleaned, gave out numbers, served in canteen, gave medals and prizes out, cheered and generally did the club proud. If I’ve missed anyone than please take my apologises.
