NEWCASTLE KMF 10K UPDATE – Sadly we have to let you know that the planned rescheduled event, that should have been taking place on 13th September 2020, is unable to go ahead.
Following a meeting between our Race Director and Club Committee it was agreed that due to the popularity of the event, the nature of our course and with thoughts for our local neighbourhood it is felt that we cannot meet the requirements of the race licence regarding current social distancing and safety measures, for athletes, marshals and officials. Therefore although it has been an extremely difficult decision to make we feel we have no choice but to cancel this years event.
The proposed date for next years event is Sunday 18th April 2021.
All entries will automatically be carried over to next year’s event and any changes can be made before the event. We hope that you will continue to support us as a club through these challenging times and look forward to welcoming everybody back next year! All entrants should have received an email from our Race Director advising of their options going forward.
