Newcastle juniors were to the forefront in Sundays home race the Newcastle 10km. U/20 athlete Rebecca Twardochleb was the first lady overall in the race running a new PB of 40:12 whilst fellow teammate Tasha Stone ran her first ever 10km to finish in 8th position in 45:15. Rebecca and Tasha helped the ladies team to overall victory.
Jacob Droogmans finished in 8th position overall in the race to lead the Newcastle athletes home in a time of 37:33 with fellow U/17’s Jordan Nixon the second Newcastle finisher (10th Overall) in 37:51 and Ryan Wood finishing in 209th in 52:30. Well done to all 5 of our Junior Athletes.
