Many of our junior athletes made a great racing start to the year competing in this years Staffordshire Cross Country Championships held at Betley Court Farm for the first time. The Undulating but dry underfoot course was a nice change considering how wet and muddy many of the races have been prior to Christmas.
U/13 Girls – We had just 2 competitors with Evie and Ayah finishing just 5 seconds apart at the finish – Well done Girls!

U/17 Women – Our 6 U/17 Women competed in with the U/17 Men, U/20’s, Senior and Veteran Women’s race and so there race is a little further than many of the league races but all performed really well with Nadine winning Individual Bronze and the team were rewarded with Silver medals, missing gold by just 3 points!

U/17 Men – We had 3 U/17 men competing with Elliot, Louis and Thomas combining to take a much deserved team Gold, 4 points clear of Tipton with Burton 3rd. Elliot became individual county Champion for the first time with a confident runaway victory!

U/20 Women – Lauren Charlton ran a great race to become County Champion with Lizzie Clarkson finishing 6th and Grace Ranford 7th to take a convincing Team Victory – Congratulations Ladies!
U/20 Men – Lewis Nagington continued his strong first season in the age group with Individual Silver and Jacob Droogmans finished in 8th – Well done Gents!
