10 Juniors Represented the club at Saturdays Brooks Midland Road Relays held at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield. All age groups ran the same distance of 3.863km.
The U/13 Girls, Represented by Misha Twardochleb, Scarlett Cotton and Abi McHugh were first in action. Misha ran 16.42 to finish in 17th Position at the end of the first leg, Scarlett, in her first race at this level ran 18.41 and Abi ran 18.42 despite struggling with injury. The team finished a very creditable 28thin a time of 54.05.
In the U/15 Boys race, despite having no team and feeling unwell Jacob Droogmans ran the first leg in a time of 14.59 for 27th position.
We had two teams in the U/17 Girls with Rebecca Twardochleb, Lucy Matthews and Shannon McCue in one team, and Sophie Goodfellow, Courtney Bridgewood and Lola Cotton in the other. On the first Leg Rebecca came back in 9th position in 15.01, closely followed by Sophie in 14th position in 15.37. Next out were Lucy (16.54) and Courtney (17.15) for 11th and 18th positions respectively. Finally it was down to Shannon and Lola to bring both teams home, with Shannon running 15.35 to finish in a fantastic 4th position (total time – 47.30) and Lola running 18.39 to finish her team off in 16th Position (total time 51.31).
