Latest Update – 13/6/2020

The trial Junior Training session which was held on Thursday night at the club was very successful. The Management Committee met virtually yesterday and discussed the re-opening of the club for training. The club is partially re-opening for training from Monday 15th June with the following restrictions in place. Please make sure you are familiar with all the measures we have put in place to allow this to happen.  Covid-19 Health and Safety Measures The clubhouse, toilets and changing facilities will NOT currently be open to members.The car park will be used for social distancing and will NOT be available for parking or drop-offs/collection.One gate will be open at the club for access. Please read any signs before entering.Attendance at any coach-led sessions is by pre-arrangement only.Training groups will be 1 coach to a maximum of 5 athletes.Non-coach led sessions will assemble on the car park and split into appropriate groups of no more than 6 runners.If you or a member of your family or anyone you have been in contact with is showing any symptoms of Covid-19, please inform us and do not come to the club.If in the days following your attendance at the club, you or a member of your family, or any one you have been in contact with is showing any signs of Covid-19, please inform us, and follow the current Govt Guidelines for self-isolating. Our Club Covid-19 Co-ordinator (Kevin Oakley) will then implement our in-house Track and Trace Protocol and inform those athletes/coaches that you have been in contact with. Martin’s Junior Training:
 At the track. Martin will contact those Juniors to arrange the details
Senior Group Run: 6:30pm.
Assemble on the car park at a social distance.
There can be no more than 6 runners at a time running together.
Please stagger the start time of each group leaving the club.
Each group should ideally follow a different route.
Please finish your run either where you parked your car or on the circle outside the club.
Please don’t hang around afterwards to chat.
If you didn’t reply to the e-mail to say you wanted to return to training on a Monday you need to do so before you come down to the club, so we have an idea of numbers attending.

Tuesdays and Thursdays
Junior Training is by pre-arrangement only.
All Juniors who answered the original e-mail will be offered a training session at the club. There will be 7 training sessions. 4 sessions at 5:45pm-6:30pm and 3 sessions at 6:45-7:30pm. You will receive a separate e-mail with the details.
Any parent who didn’t reply to the original e-mail who now wants to bring their child to the club for training please reply to this e-mail and we will try our best to sort out a training slot but please be aware we have half the number of coaches at the moment and a quarter of the group capacity we had pre-Covid-19.
Martin will be coaching his Junior Sessions away from the club and will contact his athletes directly with the details.
Senior Tuesday/Thursday Sessions  will not be able to start from the club, in the first week as we need to be sure the back-to-back Junior sessions and particularly the hand-over to/from parents between the 2 sessions goes smoothly for everyones Health and Safety. Martin will continue to put details of the Tuesday/Thursday training sessions on the Endurance Messenger Group and will organise the groups and suggest suitable locations for that session.

Wednesdays
Improvers Group: 
There are currently 4 members who replied to say they were interested in returning to the sessions. These sessions will restart on July 1st. Jon will contact you directly with details.

The Management Committee will meet again after the first week to review how each of the different sessions have gone and will update the measures following any change in England Athletics/Govt Guidelines.

As noted in the previous e-mail Membership Subscriptions are now due. We have considered the clubs annual subscriptions and and calculated a 2 month reduction as a gesture of goodwill to reflect absolute closure due to Covid-19. The Club has ongoing fixed costs that need to be paid regardless of closure. We will be making no further reduction regardless of the date of actual return. Our subscription is very modest in comparison to other activities and believe this will still reflect value for money.
