Newcastle (Staffs) AC had 21 Junior, Senior and Veteran women turnout on a hilly and muddy 5,200m cross country course. Our first Senior Lady was Rebecca Twardochleb who came 1st in an impressive (21.36), Closely followed by 2nd Sophie Goodfellow (21.46), Well Done ladies, 17th Elizabeth Clarkson (24.21) 2nd JW Well Done Lizzie, 42nd Catherine Bridgewater (26.00), 46th Lisa Ho (26.08), 48th Sarah Bayliss (26.14), 60th Maxine Estelle (27.41), 68th Jan Cassidy (28.14), 71st Jade Watson (28.21, 87th Pascal Wrigley (29.54), 94th Michaela Cunningham (30.32), 96th Julia Bridgewater (30.42), 104th Susan Twardochleb (31.43), 106th Sharon Tomkinson (32.10), Belinda Riley (32.52), 136th Rebecca Siery (35.33),137th Kerry Taylor (35.49), 141st Tracey Johnson Knowles (36.10), 157th Rebecca Stokes (39.51), 159th Stephanie Nagington (39.55), 161st Julia Bailey (41.17). Brilliant running by all and great teamwork. Well Done .
We are 1st position in Division 1 Senior Women’s Team with an overall 142 points after 3 races.
Finally the Junior, Senior and Veteran men also had an amazing 22 competitors running 7,000m on the course.
Our leading young man was Lewis Nagington with a fantastic 5th place (24.33) and 2nd JM Well Done Lewis always giving 100% in his races, 24th Jacob Droogmans (25.55) 8th JM again brilliant running Jacob ,Well Done, 28th Tim Sharman (26.11), 32nd Ian Bayliss (26.31), 39th Matthew Basnett (26.55), 41st Ben Brereton (27.01), 55th Andy Walker (27.37), 67th Craig Taylor (28.24), 74th Jerome Stevens (28.43), 81st Mark Steele (29.06), 85th David Morgan-Bourne (29.12), 86th Scott Zikmanis (29.15), 95th Mark Cresswell (29.43), 104th Andrew Brownsword (30.06), 114 Neil Gerrity (30.39), 121st Martin Bailey (30.54), 128th Matthew Robinson (31.19), 145th Chris Nixon (32.15), 149th Stuart Cassidy (32.21), 184th Mark Kelsall (34.09), 186th Matt Way (34.17), 233rd John Munton-Davies (39.53).
In Division 1 Senior Men’s team we are 2nd place with 558 points overall after 3 races.
