It is with deepest regret that we publish some very sad news.
Steve Askey, a member for nearly 30 years, sadly died on Tuesday 17th September following his collapse after the session at the club.
Steve was a much respected athlete and club member, who was always willing to help out and support Newcastle Athletic club. He was also a much valued committee member, who contributed greatly to the running of the club and helped to maintain the club website.
Our thoughts are with his family and close friends.
