The second fixture in this years Heart of England Track and Field league took place on Saturday at the Alan Moreton Track, Stourport on Severn. A coach full of our junior athletes/coaches/parents and supporters travelled to see if we could improve on the first fixture held just a month before where we finished in 4th position. Despite some of the eldest Juniors being missing as they were competing for the club in the clashing Midland League fixture at Telford we finished in 2nd position on the day and now sit in 3rd position overall. The final fixture is on Sunday 2nd July and with another great turnout we can climb into one of those top two promotion places.
Competing at this fixture were;
U/11’s – Connell Latham, Daniel Jones, Katie Viser.
U/13’s – Oliver Burke, Harvey Price, CJ Hobson, Stephen Hobson, Charlie Ranford, Lucy Brownsword, Mathilde Wakefield, Beatrice Wakefield, Grace Huckfield, Samantha Oakley.
U/15’s – Elliot Smith, Louis Wakefield, Misha Twardochleb, Nadine Tomkinson, Scarlett Cotton, Zara Haddon, Harriet Groves, Holly Nixon.
U/17’s/Seniors – Thomas Wood, Ryan Wood, Elizabeth Clarkson, Alexandra Oakley, Charlotte Moore, Nicola Brownsword.
Congratulations to everyone who took part and thanks as always to the club for subsidising the coach travel and to all the coaches, officials and parents for their continued support – please remember every point is valuable so we need every junior to turn out at the final fixture if we are going to gain another promotion!
