This years Midlands Cross Country Championships took place on Saturday 28th January at Wollaton Park, Nottingham.
Our Senior Ladies team of Rachel Wakefield, Hannah Jones, Rachel Trpeski, Sharon Tomkinson and Amy Whitehurst competed against the top athletes from across the Midlands over the undulating and muddy parkland course. Our team finished in 30th position – Well done ladies.
Our Senior Mens team were led home by Felix McGrath who moved strongly through the field to finish in a fantastic 4th position, the others in our team were, Stephen Ratcliffe, Tim Twentyman, Neil Gerrity, Pab Maddox, Mark Cotton, Paul Wakefield and Kevin Oakley. All our senior/vet men ran well over the, by now, really muddy course and we finished as the 23rd best team in the Midlands. Congratulations to all who represented the club at these championships.
